Ibiza Town sits right next to the cruise port, either at Passeig Marítim or Muelle Dique de Potafoc, and the Sa Marina waterfront district is within walking distance. The island's club scene is famous, but there's more to it than that. Dalt Vila, the old walled town perched on the hill above the harbour, is a UNESCO World Heritage site with cobblestone streets, fortified walls, and views over the sea that improve with every turn uphill. The beaches range from busy party strips to quiet coves accessible only by boat or dirt track. Cala Comte and Cala Salada are two of the better swimming spots. Inland, the countryside has white-washed farmhouses, red earth, and pine forests. Food leans Mediterranean: fresh fish, grilled octopus, and bullit de peix (a local fish stew). Ibiza is small enough that a hired car or scooter covers most of it in a day.
