Odyssey of the Antiquarian – Athens, Ephesus & Marseille
About this cruise
Clear the calendar from September 17, 2028. This one's 21 nights from Civitavecchia (Rome), and the route visits Naples, Palermo and Souda (Chania), with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. By the time you're a week in, you'll have completely stopped checking your phone. You finish in Naples. The itinerary clusters several port calls together. Fast-paced for a few days, then the sea days hit and you can catch your breath. It's a proper Western Mediterranean tour: 6 countries, from Italy to France. You get around 11 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, Sun Princess joined the Princess Cruises's lineup in 2024. Still has that new-ship feel. Longer sailings have a different energy. People relax into it, stop rushing, and start actually talking to each other. A September sailing dodges the peak crowds while the weather is still cooperating. Well timed. You'll probably start planning the next one before this one's even over.
