11 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Civitavecchia (Rome) on March 9, 2028 and the route takes you through Cagliari, Palermo and Valletta, with additional stops along the Eastern Mediterranean at a pace where there's never any need to rush. You get off in Piraeus (Athens), which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Crossing 5 borders through the Eastern Mediterranean: Italy, Malta, Greece, Türkiye and Cyprus. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Don't rush through Kusadasi, which is known as Turkey's gateway to the ruins of Ephesus. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Caribbean Princess takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. All told, 9 ports across 11 nights covers a lot.
