Old City Ramble – San Juan & Puerto Plata
About this cruise
14 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Miami on March 27, 2027 and the route takes you through Roatan Island, Costa Maya, Cozumel, Ocean Cay, Puerto Plata (Amber Cove) and San Juan at a pace where there's never any need to rush. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. The Caribbean route takes in Honduras, Mexico, Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, 5 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Of the stops, Costa Maya tends to be the one people talk about: Mexico's quieter Caribbean escape among Mayan ruins. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. MSC World America launched in 2025, so everything on board is still new. You can tell. The longer time on board means you'll catch several shows, themed nights, and start feeling like a regular at your favourite bar. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. If you can, add a night in Miami before boarding. It's a good city to wander. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
