You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 14 nights from Seattle on September 12, 2027, visiting Ketchikan, Kushiro City, Aomori and Tokyo. You get off in Tokyo, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. The sea days at each end give the whole trip a natural arc: build-up, exploration, cool-down. Street food that'll ruin you for takeaway back home, ancient shrines, and cities that run like clockwork. Don't rush through Ketchikan, which is known as Totem poles, rain, and wild salmon. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Noordam has 7 restaurants on board, which means you could eat somewhere different nearly every night. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. Seattle itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All told, 4 ports across 14 nights covers a lot.
