Pacific Monsoons – Cairns, Tokyo & Busan
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 25 nights from Sydney on January 29, 2027, visiting Newcastle, Cairns and Rabaul, with additional stops along the Japan, Korea, China & Taiwan. Disembarkation is in Hong Kong. The sea days at each end give the whole trip a natural arc: build-up, exploration, cool-down. 6 countries (Australia, Papua New Guinea, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong) across the Japan, Korea, China & Taiwan, each with its own character. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Busan, Temples on the mountain, fish markets by the sea. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Costa Deliziosa has 2,260 guests. Big enough for variety, not so big it feels anonymous. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. And a January cruise to warmer water? Hard to argue with that when it's cold at home. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
