The first couple of days are at sea, which gives you time to settle in and get to know the ship before the ports begin. Crossing 4 borders through the Caribbean: Sint Maarten, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Bahamas. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Most ports give you about 9 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Carnival Festivale joined the Carnival Cruise Line's lineup in 2027. Still has that new-ship feel. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Port Canaveral has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. Being shoulder season helps: golden light, comfortable weather, and shorter queues at the popular spots. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
