Red Soil & Reef – Broome, Darwin & Cairns
About this cruise
Every port gets the time it deserves and the sea days in between are half the fun. This 16-night sailing leaves Fremantle on October 10, 2027 and visits Broome WA, Darwin, Cairns, Willis Island, Brisbane and Sydney. You get off in Sydney, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. The sea days come first, which means no rushing to get off the ship on day one. You hit the ports relaxed and ready. Flat whites in Melbourne, coral at the Great Barrier Reef, and fjords in New Zealand. Hard to pick a highlight. Don't rush through Brisbane, which is known as Sunshine State's laid-back river city. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Sapphire Princess keeps you well fed. 14 places to eat, with 7 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. If you've done the short cruises and want more, this is the upgrade. Longer, deeper, and more relaxed. If you can, add a night in Fremantle before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All told, 6 ports across 16 nights covers a lot.
