Sargassum Shimmer – Turquoise Lagoons
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Fort Lauderdale on December 20, 2026 visits Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk Island, Puerto Plata (Amber Cove) and Key West. Every port day is followed by a sea day, so you get time to sleep in, use the ship, and look forward to the next stop. Crossing 4 borders through the Caribbean: Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands, Dominican Republic and United States. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Of the stops, Half Moon Cay tends to be the one people talk about: A private crescent of Bahamian perfection. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Nieuw Amsterdam takes the food seriously, with 9 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Long enough that you stop checking your phone. Short enough that you're not bored. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
