Sunken Amphora Odyssey – Ibiza, Naples & Ephesus
About this cruise
A 14-night sailing gives you something shorter trips can't: the feeling that you're not just visiting places but actually living somewhere else for a while. This one leaves Barcelona on May 7, 2028 and visits Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca and Marseille, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. Last stop: Piraeus (Athens). A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. The Western Mediterranean route takes in Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Türkiye, 5 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Of the stops, Marseille tends to be the one people talk about: France's oldest city, salty and soulful. Around 11 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Sun Princess (2024) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. The longer time on board means you'll catch several shows, themed nights, and start feeling like a regular at your favourite bar. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. If you can, add a night in Barcelona before boarding. It's a good city to wander. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
