Sunken Empires – Ajaccio, Kusadasi & Mykonos
About this cruise
Somewhere around day five the ship stops being transport and starts being home. This 14-night sailing from Barcelona on July 30, 2028 visits Palma de Mallorca, Marseille and Ajaccio, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. You finish in Piraeus (Athens). There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. 5 countries (Spain, France, Italy, Greece and Türkiye) across the Western Mediterranean, each with its own character. Most ports give you about 12 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Sun Princess (2024) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. By night three you start recognising faces; by night ten you're swapping numbers. That's the magic of a longer sailing. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. You'll probably start planning the next one before this one's even over.
