Sunken Pillars & Salt Breeze – Athens, Ephesus & Barcelona
About this cruise
You won't run out of things to do on a trip this long, but you also won't feel like you have to do any of them. 14 nights from Civitavecchia (Rome) on April 2, 2028, visiting Naples, Palermo and Souda (Chania), with additional stops along the Eastern Mediterranean. You wind up in Barcelona, so it's worth planning a night or two there. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. The route threads through 5 countries along the Eastern Mediterranean coast: Italy, Greece, Türkiye, Montenegro and Spain. Most ports give you about 11 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Sun Princess launched in 2024, so everything on board is still new. You can tell. 14 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
