Totem Whisper – Ketchikan & Victoria
About this cruise
You board in Vancouver on May 2, 2027 for 6 nights visiting Ketchikan, Prince Rupert and Victoria, and you come back from this kind of trip wondering why you don't do it more often. There's a nice rhythm here: explore a port, recover at sea, do it again. You never feel rushed or restless. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Don't rush through Ketchikan, which is known as Totem poles, rain, and wild salmon. Roughly 8 hours per stop. More of a sampler than a deep dive. Nieuw Amsterdam takes the food seriously, with 9 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. This length suits most people. Enough time to settle in and actually unwind, without the trip dragging on. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. All told, 3 ports across 6 nights covers a lot.
