Tradewind Laments – Virgin Gorda & Curacao
About this cruise
Somewhere around day five the ship stops being transport and starts being home. This 14-night sailing from La Romana on January 31, 2028 visits Catalina Island, Oranjestad and Willemstad, with additional stops along the Caribbean. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. The route threads through 9 countries along the Caribbean coast: Dominican Republic, Aruba, Curaçao, Caribbean Netherlands, Grenada, British Virgin Islands, Sint Maarten, St. Kitts & Nevis and Antigua & Barbuda. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, MSC Opera has 4 restaurants on board, which means you could eat somewhere different nearly every night. By night three you start recognising faces; by night ten you're swapping numbers. That's the magic of a longer sailing. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
