Turquoise Shallows – CocoCay & Grand Turk
About this cruise
This is the kind of trip that just works. 5 nights from Miami, visiting CocoCay and Grand Turk Island, sailing October 31, 2026, and nothing about it feels forced. The pace alternates neatly: port day, sea day, port day, sea day. 2 stops with a breather between each one. The Bahamas are close enough for a quick trip and warm enough that it always feels worth it. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Freedom Of The Seas takes the food seriously, with 14 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Miami has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. Being shoulder season helps: golden light, comfortable weather, and shorter queues at the popular spots. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
