Untamed Alaska – Ketchikan & Glaciers
About this cruise
This one leaves Vancouver on July 23, 2027 and spends 7 nights visiting Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Sitka, Skagway, Hubbard Glacier and Seward at a pace where every day has something going on but there's always time to just sit and watch the water too. You wind up in Seward, so it's worth planning a night or two there. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Most ports give you about 8 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Anthem of the Seas takes the food seriously, with 15 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Vancouver has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
