About Klang

Port Klang is the cruise gateway to Kuala Lumpur, about 60-90 minutes away by car or transfer depending on traffic. The port itself is industrial with nothing to see nearby. KL is the reason for the stop. The Petronas Twin Towers are the obvious landmark, and the skybridge between them is open to visitors with advance booking. Batu Caves, a Hindu temple complex inside a limestone hill, is another major site north of the city. KL's street food is the real highlight. Jalan Alor in Bukit Bintang has rows of hawker stalls serving satay, char kway teow, and roti canai late into the night. Chinatown's Petaling Street market sells everything from watches to textiles. Thean Hou Temple is a large Chinese temple with good city views. The KL Monorail and LRT cover most tourist areas. Taxis should use the meter; Grab (ride-hailing app) is more reliable for fair pricing.
