Alpine Ascent – Icy Strait & Juneau
About this cruise
No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Vancouver on May 31, 2026 visits Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier, Juneau and Ketchikan. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Ketchikan, Totem poles, rain, and wild salmon. Around 9 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Celebrity Solstice takes the food seriously, with 10 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. This length suits most people. Enough time to settle in and actually unwind, without the trip dragging on. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
