Cobalt Horizon – Santorini, Kusadasi & Barcelona
About this cruise
This is the kind of cruise where you actually have time to go back to a port highlight you missed the first time. 14 nights from Civitavecchia (Rome) on July 4, 2026, visiting Naples, Souda (Chania) and Kusadasi, with additional stops along the Eastern Mediterranean. You wind up in Barcelona, so it's worth planning a night or two there. The itinerary clusters several port calls together. Fast-paced for a few days, then the sea days hit and you can catch your breath. The route threads through 5 countries along the Eastern Mediterranean coast: Italy, Greece, Türkiye, Montenegro and Spain. You get around 11 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, Sun Princess (2024) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. Longer sailings have a different energy. People relax into it, stop rushing, and start actually talking to each other. A July departure puts you in the best summer conditions: long days, warm nights, plenty of sun. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
