Cobalt Reefs – Grand Turk & Puerto Plata
About this cruise
You leave Fort Lauderdale on November 25, 2026 and come back 5 nights later with a tan and a few good stories. The route visits Grand Turk Island and Puerto Plata (Amber Cove). You start at sea, hit the ports, then finish at sea. The ports feel like the centrepiece, framed by lazy ocean days. Snorkelling, palm trees, rum. Each stop does it a bit differently. You get around 9 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, Island Princess takes the food seriously, with 6 restaurants to choose from. 3 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. If you're new to cruising, this length is ideal. Long enough to relax, short enough to not over-commit. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Fort Lauderdale has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. A November sailing dodges the peak crowds while the weather is still cooperating. Well timed. If you've been thinking about a cruise, this 5-night sailing is a strong place to start.
