If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 6 nights from Galveston on August 22, 2027, visiting Costa Maya, Roatan Island and Cozumel. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. Rum punch at the beach bar, snorkelling off the dock, sunsets that are genuinely worth staring at. Most ports give you about 8 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Icon Of The Seas (2024) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. You'll probably start planning the next one before this one's even over.
