Gilded Horizon – Los Angeles & Honolulu
About this cruise
Long enough to properly switch off but not so long you need to reorganise your entire life. This 10-night sailing from Vancouver on September 21, 2027 visits Los Angeles and Honolulu. You wind up in Honolulu, so it's worth planning a night or two there. The sea days come first, which means no rushing to get off the ship on day one. You hit the ports relaxed and ready. Craft coffee in one port, old-growth forest in the next. The West Coast has its own rhythm. Honolulu stands out. It's Waikiki's crescent beneath Diamond Head. Royal Princess keeps you well fed. 11 places to eat, with 6 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. If you can, add a night in Vancouver before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All in all, it's a solid trip.
