Gilded Tundra – Ketchikan, Juneau & Glacier Bay
About this cruise
Long enough to properly switch off but not so long you need to reorganise your entire life. This 7-night sailing from Vancouver on July 31, 2027 visits Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and Whittier. You get off in Whittier, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Don't rush through Whittier, which is known as Alaska's hidden fjord portal. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Crown Princess takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 8 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. And July means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. All told, 5 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
