Glacial Calve – Juneau, Skagway & Victoria from Seattle
About this cruise
Long enough to properly switch off but not so long you need to reorganise your entire life. This 7-night round-trip sailing from Seattle on May 1, 2027 visits Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan and Victoria. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Glaciers calving into the water, bald eagles overhead, and air that smells like pine. It's a different kind of cruise. Skagway alone is worth the trip, Gold Rush spirit in a fjord-locked town. Roughly 8 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. There are 11 restaurants on Royal Princess, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Seattle itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. Worth booking. That's the short version.
