Mediterranean Grand Tour – Rome, Barcelona & Southampton
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 10-night sailing from Civitavecchia (Rome) on May 27, 2027 visits Salerno, Livorno (Florence/Pisa) and Villefranche-sur-Mer, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. Last stop: Southampton. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 7 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. 4 countries (Italy, France, Spain and United Kingdom) across the Western Mediterranean, each with its own character. Of the stops, Cádiz tends to be the one people talk about: Europe's oldest city, still dancing flamenco. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. You won't go hungry on Norwegian Prima. 6 restaurants come with the fare, plus 9 more when you feel like treating yourself. With more nights comes more time for the ship's rhythm to kick in: morning coffee in the same spot, evening shows, late-night conversations on deck. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
