Mediterranean Grandeur – Rome, Genoa & Tangier
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 10-night sailing from Alicante on May 15, 2027 visits Civitavecchia (Rome), Genoa and Marseille, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 7 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. 5 countries (Italy, France, Spain, Morocco and Portugal) across the Western Mediterranean, each with its own character. Don't rush through Portimao, which is known as Algarve gold: sea caves, cliffs, and grilled fish. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. You won't go hungry on MSC Sinfonia. 4 restaurants come with the fare, plus 0 more when you feel like treating yourself. With more nights comes more time for the ship's rhythm to kick in: morning coffee in the same spot, evening shows, late-night conversations on deck. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. All told, 7 ports across 10 nights covers a lot.
