Mediterranean Magic – Marseille & Rome
About this cruise
7 nights is that sweet spot where you actually start to relax. This sailing from Barcelona on May 31, 2026 visits Marseille, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Messina, Salerno and Civitavecchia (Rome) and doesn't try to cram in too much. You wind up in Civitavecchia (Rome), so it's worth planning a night or two there. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Hot coastline, hilltop villages, and very good food. That's the Western Med in a sentence. Messina stands out. It's Sicily's gateway to Mount Etna and Taormina. Around 12 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. From casual buffets to proper sit-down restaurants, Norwegian Epic has 14 dining spots on board, most of them included. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. All in all, it's a solid trip.
