Old World to Antilles – Rome, Madeira & Miami
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 21 nights from Barcelona on October 24, 2026, visiting Marseille, Genoa and La Spezia, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. You get off in Port Canaveral, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 9 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. The route threads through 6 countries along the Western Mediterranean coast: France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Puerto Rico and United States. Don't rush through Civitavecchia (Rome), which is known as The Eternal City is just an hour away. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. MSC Grandiosa has 6 restaurants on board, which means you could eat somewhere different nearly every night. With more nights comes more time for the ship's rhythm to kick in: morning coffee in the same spot, evening shows, late-night conversations on deck. Barcelona itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All told, 9 ports across 21 nights covers a lot.
