Saffron & Jade Voyage – Saigon, Bangkok & Penang
About this cruise
Somewhere around day five the ship stops being transport and starts being home. This 14-night sailing from Singapore on December 23, 2027 visits Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and Laem Chabang (Bangkok), with additional stops along the Southeast Asia. The first couple of days are at sea, which gives you time to settle in and get to know the ship before the ports begin. Crossing 3 borders through the Southeast Asia: Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Most ports give you about 11 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Diamond Princess takes the food seriously, with 12 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. 14 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. A proper voyage for people who like to take their time and hate rushing through destinations. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Singapore has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. The timing adds to it: swapping cold weather for sunshine and sea air is the whole pitch for a winter cruise. You start in Singapore and come back with stories from Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia.
