Samurai & Silk – Kagoshima, Keelung & Busan
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 25 nights from Tokyo on February 29, 2028, visiting Kagoshima, Keelung and Ishigaki, with additional stops along the Japan, Korea, China & Taiwan. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 12 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Crossing 3 borders through the Japan, Korea, China & Taiwan: Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Ishigaki, Japan's tropical gateway to Yaeyama coral reefs. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Diamond Princess takes the food seriously, with 12 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. If you've done the short cruises and want more, this is the upgrade. Longer, deeper, and more relaxed. And a February cruise to warmer water? Hard to argue with that when it's cold at home. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
