If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 8 nights from Port Canaveral on June 26, 2027, visiting St. Thomas, San Juan, Puerto Plata (Amber Cove) and Celebration Key. The first couple of days are at sea, which gives you time to settle in and get to know the ship before the ports begin. The route threads through 4 countries along the Caribbean coast: U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Bahamas. Most ports give you about 9 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Carnival Festivale (2027) is one of the newer ships out there, with current design and recent tech throughout. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
