Turquoise Wake – Nassau & Bimini from Norfolk
About this cruise
If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 6 nights from Norfolk on June 6, 2027, visiting Celebration Key, Nassau and Bimini. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. The Bahamas are close enough for a quick trip and warm enough that it always feels worth it. Roughly 8 hours per stop. More of a sampler than a deep dive. As for the ship itself, Carnival Freedom takes the food seriously, with 9 restaurants to choose from. 6 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. The sweet spot for most travellers: you get to know the ship, see the ports, and come home before the laundry piles up. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Norfolk has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. 6 nights of not thinking about anything except where to eat next. That's the pitch.
