Volcanic Archipelago – Málaga, Madeira & Canaries
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 12 nights from Barcelona on November 14, 2026, visiting Málaga, Cádiz and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with additional stops along the Canary Islands. The sailing ends in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Every port day is followed by a sea day, so you get time to sleep in, use the ship, and look forward to the next stop. Black-sand beaches on one island, dense laurel forests on another. The Canaries are surprisingly varied. People come back from this cruise talking about Las Palmas de Gran Canaria: Year-round sunshine on a volcanic island. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Costa Smeralda carries up to 5,224 guests over 20 decks. Multiple pools, a theatre, and more restaurants than you'll get through. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. If you can, add a night in Barcelona before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And November is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. 7 ports, 2 countries, one suitcase. That's the appeal.
