Island Indulgence – Freeport & Nassau

This is the kind of trip that just works. 5 nights from Jacksonville, visiting Freeport, Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay, sailing March 14, 2026, and nothing about it feels forced. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. The Bahamas are close enough for a quick trip and warm enough that it always feels worth it. Most ports give you about 8 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, There are 14 restaurants on Norwegian Gem, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 5 nights. A spring departure helps too: decent weather and a calmer feel at each port. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
