A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Southampton on May 9, 2026 visits Leith (Edinburgh), Haugesund and Kristiansand. Every port day is followed by a sea day, so you get time to sleep in, use the ship, and look forward to the next stop. Midnight sun, Viking history, and landscapes that look photoshopped but aren't. Don't rush through Leith (Edinburgh), which is known as Edinburgh's dockside neighbourhood of character. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. MSC Virtuosa has 7 restaurants on board, which means you could eat somewhere different nearly every night. Southampton itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. All told, 3 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
