Indigo Meridian – Busan, Kanazawa & Hakodate
About this cruise
You come back from a trip like this actually rested, not just "I went on vacation" rested. 14 nights from Yokohama on October 28, 2026, visiting Hakodate, Aomori and Akita, with additional stops along the Japan, Korea, China & Taiwan. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 11 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Street food that'll ruin you for takeaway back home, ancient shrines, and cities that run like clockwork. Of the stops, Kanazawa tends to be the one people talk about: Samurai gardens and gold-leaf artistry. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. You won't go hungry on Diamond Princess. 7 restaurants come with the fare, plus 5 more when you feel like treating yourself. With more nights comes more time for the ship's rhythm to kick in: morning coffee in the same spot, evening shows, late-night conversations on deck. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
