Tundra & Tides Adventure – Juneau & Victoria
About this cruise
If you want the classic cruise without a massive time commitment, this is a strong option. 10 nights from Seattle on August 14, 2026, visiting Juneau, Skagway and Hubbard Glacier, with additional stops along the Alaska. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Norwegian Joy takes the food seriously, with 14 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. 10 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Seattle has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. Good route, good ship, good timing. It all lines up.
