Untamed Alaskan Wilderness – Ketchikan & Glacier Bay
About this cruise
No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Vancouver on September 7, 2026 visits Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Icy Strait Point and Whittier. You get off in Whittier, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Glaciers, whales, snow-capped mountains. Alaska is about as far from a beach holiday as you can get. Don't rush through Skagway, which is known as Gold Rush spirit in a fjord-locked town. Around 9 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. From casual buffets to proper sit-down restaurants, Norwegian Jade has 13 dining spots on board, most of them included. The autumn timing is underrated too. Good weather, calmer seas, and a more relaxed ship. All told, 6 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
