Gilded Pagoda Route – Phuket, Bangkok & Sihanoukville
About this cruise
This is the kind of cruise where you actually have time to go back to a port highlight you missed the first time. 13 nights from Singapore on February 3, 2028, visiting Phuket, Pulau Langkawi Island and Pulau Penang Island, with additional stops along the Southeast Asia. The itinerary clusters several port calls together. Fast-paced for a few days, then the sea days hit and you can catch your breath. Crossing 3 borders through the Southeast Asia: Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. You get around 11 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, Diamond Princess takes the food seriously, with 12 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Longer sailings have a different energy. People relax into it, stop rushing, and start actually talking to each other. Suits retirees, remote workers, or anyone who doesn't need to be anywhere else for a while. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Singapore has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. While everyone else deals with the February cold, you'll be somewhere warmer. And floating. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
